Veeeeeery strange. I took a look at your save, exported the map gen string (below), made a new save with it, and those ice tiles didn't generate. Maybe because I'm on 2.0.19 (experimental) and it's a base game bug that's been fixed? Can you reproduce it consistently with this string in 2.0.15, and if so what about 2.0.19?

Are you seeing this only with regular crude oil or with offshore oil too?

Hmm actually I think I've worked out how it is happening - will post here tomorrow once I've worked out the correct fix for this problem.

Btw you can just concrete over the ice and then build anything on it

ChocoMaxXx are you talking about “Offshore oil” having ice beneath it, or “Crude oil” having ice beneath/around it?

And are you using “Water ores” mod?

The only bug I’m aware of being caused by Cargo Ships is demonstrated by the above image - if crude oil generates close to the shore then ice will appear nearby.

If you’re having anything worse than that, then it’s probably caused by regular crude oil resources spawning on water due to Water Ores (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Water_Ores/discussion/671fcc6a2a987acc807e5206) but you wouldn’t be able to use the oil rigs on these anyway since they are “Crude oil” not “Offshore oil” (maybe in 1.1 you were able to use oil rigs on regular crude oil that spawned in the ocean but that is no longer possible).

in the end, the ice thing its a vanilla bug that and not cause from this mod. i just created a new game and in a new save , the oil is correct on the water.
