Burning Cargo Pods


Start on each planet afresh. Dropping cargo safely from space platforms requires pods made out of materials native to the planet in question, forcing rockets before drops. This also adds a cost to orbital logistics.

Can there be an option in the mod settings to not die when you reach the planet, just lose your items. Like, for no death challenge runs and stuff. It's not that big of a deal, IIRC there is no hardcore setting so I could just ignore those deaths, but just checking.

Yeah I would also appreciate this, I have a mod (avatars) that makes it so when I die I am transported to another location which was a big surprise and incredibly annoying. Would love if the mod didn't kill you on first planet-fall just crashlanded and survived

Maybe a version of the pod mod that requires empty inventory and only holds you? Either completely separate, or an intermediate component in making the standard pod. Something like escape pod or survival pod, since it has no items, only characters.

This is now supported in that there is a mod option to grant the player 1 cargo pod for each of Vulcanus, Fulgora and Gleba. It works for new or existing saves.
