Start on each planet afresh! Dropping cargo safely from space platforms requires pods made out of materials native to the planet in question, forcing rockets before drops. This also adds a cost to orbital logistics.

Burning Cargo Pods

Start on each planet afresh! Dropping cargo safely from space platforms requires pods made out of materials native to the planet in question.

  • Pod items are spent from the platform hub when a drop occurs. The player thus starts on each planet afresh.
  • Players can drop without protection, but explode on entry and must recover their bodies after respawning.
  • A minimum number of stacks for resource drops is configurable in the platform hub GUI.

One could implement fresh starts by requiring a cargo landing pad, but this approach means the player must build more infrastructure and rockets the more materials they wish to drop, rather than resources becoming free after rushing a cargo landing pad.
