g What ores spawn in what patches?

Do you mind listing here or updating the mod page or infotron in-game of what ores can spawn in what rock types?
We've been looking all over for the lead (Galena) ore and several days in we can't find it. Would be nice to have a list to narrow the search if you'd be so kind.

Both in-game name if you mouse over it like "Hyrdothermal Geology" spawns all of this ore. And the map color they are pre checking with the core drill would be amazing.

For Galena specifically: look for Hydrothermal geology. Before core drilling it appears on the map as a rust-brown field, #9E5C38. Once revealed, Galena itself is a blue-grey, about #5C616B.

Important Galena detail

You actually have a much better chance of finding Galena closer to the starting area.

The Hydrothermal pool changes with distance:

Under 512 tiles from map origin:

Fluorite / Sphalerite / Galena

So Galena is effectively 1 of 3 Hydrothermal results.

At 512+ tiles, Wolframite, Scheelite and Molybdenite join:

Fluorite / Sphalerite / Galena / Wolframite / Scheelite / Molybdenite

So Galena drops to roughly 1 in 6.

At 640+, Argentite joins → roughly 1 in 7.

At 768+, Native Gold joins → roughly 1 in 8.

So if you've been travelling farther and farther away looking for lead, that has ironically been making Galena less likely.

For lead hunting right now, I'd specifically search the map for the rust-brown Hydrothermal geology fields inside roughly 512 tiles of the centre, then core drill those first.

One other potentially confusing design detail: some ores have a geological classification but do not roll from that generic family indication. For example, Chalcopyrite and Bornite are hydrothermal deposits internally, but they are deliberately removed from the generic Hydrothermal roll and put under Copper-bearing geology. Likewise Hematite/Magnetite use Iron-bearing, Malachite uses Copper-bearing, and Coal/Limestone have their own controls. That's why the table above is the useful actual gameplay spawn table, rather than merely the geological classification.

Ok so we found a tiny bit, it was still fairly far but was mixed in another one and we didn't notice they were on top of each other.

But figured out the blast mine part, mostly. We got rid of the top rock, then prep'd the blast holes, and got the blast charging rigs place. I don't see a way to transport the "Bulk ANFO charging stream" in barrels or anything? Or are you meant to ship all the parts to make it to the mine and then place a chemical reactor on the miners? I can barrel the middle distillate, but not the ANFO sooo assuming so? That or a fuild wagon could work, then reverse pump the mines once the ore is mined out to recover the charges.

And while on the topic of ores still, what makes the ores spawn as dry vs wet? And low, med, high grade? And is the ore type itself dictate the miners you need? Like all lead will need ANFO? I saw the bit about ANFO for dry only, but not sure about what ores will need blast or what ores will need normal, etc.

And we thought maybe low grade mines would "respawn" as med grade as some sort of "digging deeper into more pure ore" but that doesn't seem to be the case? As we found a few med ores, and this lead is high grade.

If the ANFOs are just an oversight, could you add in a barrel version of it / the wet charge one to save a bit of logistics pain? If not not a big deal though.

Oh and as was making the nitrate for the charges I had to deal with wastewater. I have 2 of the same, but differently named acid wastewater recipes.

"Neutralize acidic wastewater" and Acidic wastewater neutralisation" do the same thing. They're both the same everything: speed, mats in / out, same building, same tech unlock, etc. But they do have 2 different icons. So not sure if an oversight and you just doubled them up or one was meant to do something different. They're both under "Waste treatment" tech if you need help finding.

Also, what's a good way to get carbon dioxide? There doesn't seem to be a way to get it easy, or I'm blind. Seems more of a random by-product? We're trying to get some glass going.

I looked throughout recipes book and the easiest way I concluded is to extract it from the Water-Gas shift procedure, which requires carbon monoxide and steam. Carbon monoxide can be obtained from Fuel Gas separation, which is obtained from Natural Gas separation which can be pumped out from under the ground. It's the simplest way I concluded for this, but it's still a byproducts strategy.
