This is an amazing mod, exactly what I was looking for. I literally had this idea today, so I was really surprised to see that someone had already made it exactly the way I wanted.
Thanks. Honestly i tried to make this mod a few times in the past and just couldn't get it working correctly. Shout out my mate Claude for getting it over the line. Originally i wanted it to be far more like the space elevator in https://mods.factorio.com/mod/space-exploration but the whole "pull the train in and teleport it wagon by wagon" is just far too brittle and causes a whole host of problems.
Also, it appears there were a few people with this idea as there appears to be a similar if slightly more complicated version of this here https://mods.factorio.com/mod/RiftRail .
