I understand Lignumis is a sort-of stepping stone before starting the real game on nauvis and later technology has a few requirements of Lignumus materials.
I would like to see more rewards for investing the time to develop Lignumis instead of rushing to get off the moon and rarely returning.
Some rewards for investing the time could include:
- New Golden modules that reduce pollution better than Green modules, but provide no electricity reduction.
-
Golden modules in biological buildings (works with gleba bio-buildings) eat pollution rather than simply reducing it, but increase electrical needs. Also, in research labs has a chance to upgrade the science flask by one quality when consumed (higher-tiered modules increase this chance).
-
Golden-laced wood cubes are a new fuel source that lasts longer than solid cubes, and eats pollution slightly.
-
Gold-laced liquid fluid as a fuel source for machines that offers a speed bonus over the steam counterpart, which also works with navius based buildings.
-
Gold science research options like tier 2 Bots that move faster and hold more.
-
Wooden Bullets for Gun turrets and Wooden Tree trunk Rods for railgun ammo that can be grown in space from a tree farm, organic ammo!
Some challenges that could be added:
Buildings destroyed with gold modules or Golden-laced wood fuel instantly evolve that bug and give it a speed boost. If the bug is not killed within a certain amount of time, it will also evolve the group that it is with, and if any of the group remains after a certain amount of time, it also evolves the nests that it came from, making faster biters with higher regeneration abilities and will target buildings with gold modules in them. (This is also the case on all planets)
These are just some ideas, but I would love to see more from Lignumus and give it more advantages to spend the time developing it, especially in the late stages of the game on other planets.
