Since this is a burner planet, this mod is essential to the experience. I noticed that many players just don't know about this mod and don't use it if it's not mandatory. Even if it's listed on the mod page as recommended. I think the compute time is ok and shouldn't be a problem until going megabase. The spike is once every 30 seconds or so.
