Each player has its own force. New players get their own random spawn location with their own enemy force. All players are friendly.

Description

The idea of this mod is that you can enjoy playing with other players in a friendly way but each player has its own force. Its own base. Its own spawn position. AND additionally each player has its own enemy with its own evolution factor.

When you join a server for the first time (or in singleplayer start a new game) then you are teleported to a random spawn position, which is far away but not too far away from another player. You can decide if you want to keep this new spawn position or if you want another one.

At your new spawn position you will find at least some starting ressources. But they do not spawn if this specific resource can already be found close to that position. (If you have Angels Refining mod installed, then the Angel ores are spawned instead of the vanilla ores.)

Every player is assigned to a new player force when joining the server for the first time. This new player force is automatically named like "player_force_DE_Schmitt" or whatever the username of the new player is. Additionally to this new player specific force, a new enemy force named "enemy_force_DE_Schmitt" is created. Thus there is one enemy force for each player force. When new chunks are generated then all enemies inside that newly generated chunk are assigned to the enemy force of the closest player. Thus every player has its own enemy force!

There are no configuration options. To keep it simple and foolproof to use :-)

Mod Recommendation

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/ResearchLevelSetsEvolution is compatible with this mod. When using that mod every player's research progress sets the evolution factor only for the enemy that is close to that player. This way you can play with your friends on a server while not disturbing other players with your evolution progress.

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/distance_independent_alien_base_size is recommended so that players far away are not overwhelmed by gigantic alien bases.

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/distance_independent_ore_patch_size should be used so that resource patches are roughly equally sized everywhere.

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/schmitts-modpack is recommended because its a great mod pack :-)

Known Issues

This mod does not offer radar sharing for friendly forces. If you know a mod for that please tell me!
