Later on, you can research a metallurgy recipe to process it with Calcite in Vulcanus' Foundries for double the output.
Q: Where does Abyssal Ore come from?
A: It doesn't generate normally on the map. Instead, dynamic Abyssal Meteors will strike the planet periodically. Their impact sites create rich patches of Abyssal Ore. Later in the game, you can also harvest and crush Eldritch Asteroid Chunks in space.
Q: Mining Abyssal Ore is damaging my drills! How do I stop this?
A: Abyssal Ore is highly corrosive. Any mining drills placed on its veins will slowly take corrosion damage. To prevent this, build and power Abyssal Mining Drill their have completely protection from corrosion.
Q: What happens if my Sanity drops to 0%?
A: Complete mental collapse, some delirium and attacks from bitters.
Q: Is there any benefit to having low Sanity?
A: Yes, but it's a dangerous game. When your sanity falls below 30%, your mind enters a state of "Insane Genius", granting you +30% running speed and +50% hand-crafting speed. In your hallucinations, small veins of Abyssal Ore will also physically materialize under your footsteps. Just don't let it touch 0%!
Q: How do I recover my Sanity?
A: Rest within the protective light aura of Eldritch Torches Alternatively, you can craft and consume sanity restorers like the Psychic Infusion chemical elixir.
Q: Why is my factory constantly being raided by dimensional monsters?
A: The Reality Rift is hungry. You must feed it fuel with the new fluid
Q: How do I teleport using the Dormant Obelisks?
A: Once you restore the ancestral Obelisk at coordinate (0,0), you can use it to leap instantly between Space Age planets. However, the dimensional void has strict rules: you must step into the portal entirely naked (empty inventory) and with at least 90% sanity. The transit will instantly drain your sanity to 15% upon arrival on the new planet.
Q: Is this mod compatible with Krastorio 2, Space Exploration, or other overhauls?
A: We strongly recommend playing on a Vanilla + Space Age setup. Compatibility with massive overhaul mods has not been tested, and due to how custom resource spawning and tech stages are structured, it will likely break. Always start a fresh save!
