Biter Power


Generate electricity by placing biters on treadmills. Biters can be caught with cage traps, or by placing an egg extractor on a buried biter nest. Biters get tired after running on the treadmill after which they need be revitalized, which could be hazardous. Warning, biters might escape!

i Support for Enemy race manager

Hi, thank for interesting mod. Would you consider adding support for Enemy race manager (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/enemyracemanager)?

Currently biter cant be captured by cage because ERM changes name so it seems config for bitter is not found (https://github.com/heinwessels/factorio-biter-power/blob/main/control.lua#L64) and caged biter is not spawned after trap is sprung.

Biter.name with ERM is "erm_vanila/small-biter/1" which is not found (https://github.com/heinwessels/factorio-biter-power/blob/main/config.lua#L148).

There might be also other issues related to force name, that is changed but I did not digget into that.

Hello! That's an interesting idea and could be fun, but I do not have the time currently do implement and playtest this, and I also don't know much about ERM. You could implement the compatability and I'll add it (with credit) if you're up for it. I'll need to do a little bit of rework to make adding biters easier, but should be possible.

But effectively all you'll need to to expand the biter table in the bottom of config.lua and everything else should just work. So it won't be too hard.
