b ✅ Incompatibility with Titanium (cross-post)

(updated 3 months ago)

Hiya! I noticed there's a load error when launching with brevven's BZ Titanium and selecting Vulcanus as the starting planet.

Failed to load mods: __any-planet-start__/utils.lua:10: attempt to index local 'technology' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
    __any-planet-start__/utils.lua:10: in function 'set_prerequisites'
    __any-planet-start__/data-updates.lua:37: in main chunk

I think this specific compatibility could be handled either by your end or brevven's. Since it seems like having prerequisites being empty {} rather than nil is apparently valid and loads otherwise, it could be worth adding a quick fix from your end in the name of flexibility, even if brevven fixes it for Titanium as well. EDIT: Oh it's due to uranium mining being removed by Titanium. Well either way I've posted over there too

(apparently it also happens on Fulgora, though if you enable both Titanium and AAI Industry with Fulgora it's fine... huh!)

Fixed this on my end. Will reply in more detail there.

Awesome, thanks for taking a look at it and considering this. That definitely makes a lot of sense in the context of your other mods where the unlock happens much earlier

Also, I am going to try to clean up some soft-locks on the various planet starts with Titanium/Tin/Lead

Awesome! I'm currently discussing soft locks with the dev of Cerys on their discord, specifically making Cerys possible when combined with my mods + yours. Mind if I create another thread with the list of issues to fix for compat with that mod?

I know I've been in the background on this one but if anyone needs help with anything or for me to do something on my end I'm happy to oblige

@_CodeGreen Thanks. So far it's been relatively straightforward tweaks but I'll let you know if anything more difficult comes up.

@SafTheLamb Sounds good to me.
