Story: While the Chaingunner was not able to fill all the early requirements in fighting harder worm-populated-early nests it's availability and price did make the usage of the available fish-brained infantry doubtfuly useful. Thus, a more armored and costly, less mobile alternative was required. Supposed to be used early and - while it capable of - not on it's own.
