/!\ This mod is in BETA version, there are still elements that are just placeholders for now /!\
-> However, the balancing has already been done, so there won't be any breaking changes. Early feedbacks appreciated :)
Todo before 1.0:
- Add locale for all names
- Remplace all "placeholders"
- Add some techs effects
- Finish some mechanisms
- Make a better graphic for the stellar centrifuge
- A few minor adjustments
Solar System Science (Endgame Expansion) [BETA]
This mod aims to be a new major endgame expansion, it add 24 news recipes and one new bulding. In this overhaul you'll have to build complex production chains on every planet and master their unique mechanisms in order to craft the Solar System Science pack and win the game !
The endgame has always seemed a bit lackluster to me; in particular, I feel like there’s a missing final link between the different planets. Something that builds on the mechanics of each planet and brings them together to create something new. The best thing that comes anywhere close is the quantum processors, but at the end of the game, that feels more like a trivial task than a real challenge...
That's where I got the idea for this big project.
The mod adds a new science pack, which requires specific ingredients from each planet to craft. Each of these four ingredients comes from a planet and combines the mechanisms and resources of two planets. For example, the Fulgora-derived ingredient uses materials from both Vulcanus and Fulgora, and requires melting metal and working with probabilistic recipes.
- I've decided to release the mod as a BETA so people can test it out a bit and maybe provide some early feedbacks. All the design and balancing work has already been done, and now the remaining work is almost entirely code and locales. I think version 1.0 should be ready to release before the end of the month.
Please feel free to test the mod and start a discussion on the portal's discussion page ;)
