Adds scaled up versions in different sizes for various machines. Number of overtiers can be freely adjusted. Designed for megabases and gigabases, by reducing total number of entities (thus reduced save file size, improved UPS). Includes assembling machine 3, chemical plant, electric furnace, oil refinery, centrifuge, lab, boiler, steam engine, steam turbine, heat exchanger, nuclear reactor, storage tank. g [Solved] What are the entity names for overtiers?

I want to cheat a little and spawn various overtier machines early-mid game using the console command "/c game.player.insert{name="electric-furnace", count=1}" but I can't figure out what to type in place of "electric-furnace" to get an electric furnace +5 for example. Please help.

Everything is appended with "-MS-" then tier number.

machine_name.."-MS-"..tier

Electric furnace +5 would be "electric-furnace-MS-5".

I have just released a new mod Schall Starting Inventory, which allows you to start with the machines of this mod (together with many other items). So it maybe helpful for your purpose, no need to type console commands anymore. Enjoy!

Thanks but I don't intend to be restarting anytime soon. I'm using your machine scaling, larger stack size, and bucket wheel excavators along with quite a few bot-boosting mods (and using the console to lay tons of ore&crude wherever I find convenient) to push SPM as high as I can whilst maintaining 60ups. I'm up to 30kSPM and still growing. Sadly even with your highest tier reactors/heatexchangers/turbines the sheer amount of heatpipe and water pipe needed (approx. 300GW requirement so far, I don't think even higher tier reactors/etc would help) was hitting ups too much. So I've given up on nuclear power and am going with solar from Advanced Electric (I've kept a single 2x2 nuclear plant because I like the look of your buildings and my nuclear plant design*). I'm aiming for 100kSPM and I will post a thread in 'share your creations' when/if I get there.

*blueprint string below. Requires waterfill, I use noxy's. 4x reactor+2, 12x heatexchanger+3, 28x turbine+3, 32x steam storage+3, 20x water storage+3, 64x offshorepump plus ancilliaries, no circuits though. Produces 7.5GW under load (theoretical max 7680MW from 2x2 so not bad) and 10GW when consuming excess steam from tanks, however not at all space efficient.

Thanks for your feedback. I will look into your blueprint after finishing a new mod I am trying to make. From figures in your description, it sounds like the fluid flow in water pipes (I am not sure about heatpipes) are the main cause to UPS hit.

Coincidentally, the new mod is about scaling the pipes, which is about wider pipes and higher max flow rate (scale up pipes like this mod). They will reduce the number of water pipe entities a lot, thus may help the fluid flow for nuclear reactor +2 and even possible higher overtiers.

Current limit of nuclear reactor +2 is limited by the possible maximum flow rate in the accompanying heat exchangers and steam turbines. If pipe scaling of this new mod is successful, it may push the flow rate limit much higher. Then I can unlock higher overtiers of all those power generating machines, if testing says enough water/steam can be fed into them. Then you may try scale up your blueprint with 4x nuclear reactor +5, which will give 491 GW. :O

Guess I will need to provide overtiers of offshore pumps as well (though it's a bit cheaty to supply so much water from a small pond...), since excessive number of pipes will hurt UPS.

Your new mod sounds perfect!! I would say overtier offshore pumps are definitely necessary, yes it's a bit cheaty so just set the default to vanilla only and you have to specifically enable overtier offshores maybe?

I'm sure I read on the forum somewhere that heatpipe uses the same logic as fluid pipe, I could be wrong though. If it is true then you could make your new mod work for the heatpipes without much extra work right? If so then please do. My blueprint uses over 1k heatpipe and I had dozens of them, I knew I could redesign the blueprint to use less heatpipe but it would only be 0.5 or 0.25 as much, I need it to use 0.05 as much haha. And it would have made it less pretty to look at. Even though the heat exchangers are quite large I found it difficult to keep them close to the reactors AND make space for many waterfill and pipe around them.

Although I'm also having other problems now, hitting 40kSPM and logistic network is hitting ups as well now. I might have to redesign the whole base to be much more modular (currently rather messy in the macroscale) so that I utilise trains more and logistic bots less.

The new mod is finally released! Named as Schall Pipe Scaling.

I have successfully get a 1.9 TW nuclear plant working. Yes, you read it right: TERAWATT!

As you can see, it is in 2×2 configuration. Together with using higher tier of other components, the number of entities (especially fluid boxes) are quite small. It should be still very UPS-friendly to your megabase.
