Q: This looks similar to another mod(s). Why bother create this?
A: This mod is heavily inspired by Actual Craft Times Remade, which has a cleaner and better interface than its original. Unfortunately, some bugs remained (giving wrong results), and the author had no interest to provide the IMO important feature of showing the number of belts corresponding to each ingredient and product type directly on GUI (not inside tooltip). So I decided to write my own mod, together with my own ideas to improve the GUI.
Below are some main differences from the above-mentioned mod:
- Showing the number of belts required for each of the ingredients and products, easily changeable in the small button at upper-right corner of each entity instance.
- Showing the item rates for each of the ingredients and products, in units (/s or whatever) easily changeable in the small drop down at upper-right corner of each GUI instance.
- The choices (on belt type or item rate unit) are remembered for the next created instances, whenever being changed. They can still be different between instances, allowing more flexible application (such as finding the cheapest belts).
- A small panel to show complete module modifiers panel of each entity instance, toggleable via small button of each entity instance.
- Support entities performing crafting, mining and research. Showing correct (especially for the labs) and more details.
- There is also a recipe size panel new to 2.0, displaying analysis the size changes (in terms of quantity, volume, mass) between ingredients and products. These measures will help in planning, to suggest where such crafting machines should be located within the supply chain.
