Lunar Landings


A small overhaul which expands the factory onto Nauvis' moon: Luna. Launch reusable rockets to and from Luna at mid-game. Process moon rock into silicon (for circuitry) and oxygen (for diffusing to nearby machines). Generate research data from telescopes, and conserve water from turbines using steam condensers. Unlock advanced aluminium smelting processes and a unique late-game quantum challenge... Compatible with 2.0. Not yet compatible with Space Age: expected by July-August 2025.

b Repolarization and Quantum Data cardnot 100%

I noticed while hand feeding a Quantum Resonator to change polarization it does not always yield a result even though the recipe adds up to 100%.
I've also noticed while hand feeding a Telescope to craft a Quantum Data card that it also does not always yield a result even though the recipe adds up to 100%.
Is this by design, contrary to the recipe or is there an issue?

Sadly that’s how probabilities in factorio recipes work. The same occurs with uranium processing in vanilla. Ideally yes they’d always return 1 polariton, but as it is, it still averages out over time. 2.0 is adding a method that I could potentially use to rectify this, for people that own Space Age expansion (since it will use the spoil API).
