Hi
Yeah, Arig’s on my mind.
I haven’t actually decided yet what I want to do about it.
I think the Turbo Belts are sufficient for the inner planets, and that the Arig Hyper Belt is too powerful for the stage of the game where they appear. So I was thinking of perhaps removing them if both mods are loaded. But that’s just my personal preference, and I really don’t want players to have to choose between the two mods.
So I’ve considered a few other options, but I haven’t really come up with any clear ideas yet.

I have an ON/OFF setting for these belts; I could ask Syen (the author of Arig) to do the same if Aquilo Overhaul is loaded, so that players could choose which belts they want to keep. But there’s no guarantee he’ll agree.

I could also combine the two into one by requiring both science packs to unlock them, along with a mix of ingredients. But that would push it into the post-Aquilo era, which doesn’t bother me personally, but differs from the original Hyper Belt.

Or I could increase the rate to 90/s, but I think that’s too high. That’s the rate chosen by the Promethium Belt mod, for which I actually created a "Promethium Belt Rebalance" version to bring it back down to 75/s. It’s this version that I’ve integrated into Aquilo Overhaul with the 4.2.0 update today.
So that’s where I’m at for now. I’m going to let the idea settle for a bit, and perhaps have a chat with Syen to ask what he thinks about the possibility of us working out a common compatibility.
But the idea of a speed setting is an interesting one. Generally speaking, I always try to leave as many customisation settings open as possible, because everyone has their own preferences and the aim is for players to enjoy themselves, not for me to impose my own view of what I think is balanced.
We'll see, perhaps in the end the solution will be something somewhere in between all of that :)
