Orbital Vehicle Deployment
Description
Deploy any vehicle from orbital platforms to the planets surface below. Select vehicles from platform hubs via the GUI, deploy to the player position or if in map mode, where you are looking.
With vehicle deployments you can add construction bots, ammo, fuel, or repair packs.
Features
- Deploy spidertrons and vehicles to planet surfaces.
- Deploy to the engineers position or to anywhere else on the surface when using remote view.
- Deploy with ammo, fuel, repair packs or construction robots.
- Deploy with equipment grid (Vehicles need to have their equipment grid loaded up before they are sent onto a platform)
- Supports all modded vehicles, surfaces, ammos and fuels with custom sprite integration.
- If a vehicle that requires fuel is deployed without any, then 5 carbon is automatically added (Carbon is free in space so it makes sense)
- Enhanced GUI with dedicated tabs for utilities, ammo, and fuel.

Remote Equipment Management
- Right click a vehicle in a container to remotely manage its equipment grid. Vanilla lets you select ghost equipment requests. Click the tick to try and fill the equipment with items in the same container as the vehicle.
Remote Robot Deployment (Via the robots tab)
- Select where you want to deploy Logi and Construction robots. Extremely useful for quickly adding bots to a network remotely.
Remote Container Robot and Spidertron Deployment
- Open a container with a Spidertron, Construction or Logistic robots.
- Click on what you want to deploy.
- Spidertrons deploy over the container
- Logistic robots deploy and if they are in a roboport construction area, they will join that network.
- Construction robots will prefer to join a vehicles network if they are in range, if not they will join a roboport network they are in range with.
How to
- Orbital deployment is as soon as you unlock Platforms
- Store vehicles and ammo in the platform hub.
- Use "Orbital Deployment" Shortcut, or the button in the platform gui to open the Deployment Control Center.
- Select vehicle, target, and extras via GUI tabs with sliders or stack buttons.
- Confirm and the deployment will initiate. Don't let it land on your head!
Compatibility
- Requires Factorio 2.0, Space Age DLC.
- Supports modded vehicles (Compatible unless mods alter platform or inventory mechanics)
- Space Exploration for 2.0 is working with a few bugs - currently marked as incompatible
Limitations
- No deployment on platform surfaces.
- Vehicles must be in hub chest inventory.
- Extras limited to construction robots, repair packs, ammo, fuels.
- Drops not fully accurate (This is intended, drops land within 5 tiles of the target location for variation)
Planned Features
- Deploy multiple stackable vehicles.
- Ammo and fuel preference tweaks. (added)
- Orbital resupply requests to the engineers or vehicles location.
- Deploy mines, construction/logistic bots (network or inventory) (added), and combat bots (auto-target enemies).
- Scatter mines in a circular pattern post-landing.
- Orbital deployment of turrets and units.
