Shattered Planet

Beyond the ever dark expanse lies the event horizon, the final frontier. The Shattered Planet. This devastated world holds one lone patch of uranium which is the key to solving its mystery. Enter the world of isotopes as you break down radioactive particles into increasingly more powerful substances, and beyond. UPDATE: The mod is currently undergoing an overhaul.

g Gravity and surface

I have two questions, actually.
First, is there a specific reason why the gravity is 10m/s²? I like to use a low-gravity rocket silo from a private mod. Should I imagine it more as a close-range debris field than a wide field of asteroids stemming from the shattered planet? I'd like a nice, lore-based reasoning.

Second, I expect a technical reason: Why don't you overwrite the in-game shattered planet? Because sometimes it can be slightly confusing to have two identical-looking spots on the solar system map, or when choosing a destination for the space platforms.

It didn't make a lot of sense for a shattered world that doesn't have a lot of mass or even a stable core to have a strong gravitational pull. The original plan for the Shattered Planet was that you'd have to set up railguns and asteroid collectors to get and process your resources. Likewise the combination of a few of the surface conditions determines robot energy usage; which I wanted high usage to encourage completing Planet Vesta and bringing along fusion robots for your logistics and construction. I found the current combination to be my ideal preferences.

As for why I don't overwrite, that is to keep from breaking currently existing space platforms. Originally it DID overwrite the location but many people complained about it, so I changed it to what it is now.

Okay, thanks for the explanations.
