Maybe move aircrafts from any aircraft mod installed to Vesta. One of the aircraft in those mods can work as an automated ferry, putting stuff in and out of chests, I think. It would be neat for Inter-Island transport.

That's a pretty solid suggestion, do you have any particular aircraft mod in mind?

The only decent, high-quality mod with aircraft at the moment is Lex's Aircraft.

This. Lex. But it has to come with a mandatory dependency of Spidertron Patrols mod to automate movement of the cargo hauler across the islands. Perhaps add the Lex greyscale paint mod as optional.

My 2c - gas platforms can be automated pretty quickly after starting the planet so there's not a lot of incentive to expand out to other islands, and the main logistical challenge is piping many different gases around. But it might be interesting to provide aircrafts as an alternative to building looong pipelines out to the far out methane and hydrogen sulfide patches, if some aircraft equivalent of train liquid wagons is possible.
