Planet Vesta

A gas giant in the distance. There appears to be a lone chunks of rock spread about in the almost concerningly thick atmosphere. Vesta is the gas world, and all about gases. Please read the Changelog before updating to 2.0.

b No Solid Surface / Missing Tag Bugs

I recently made it to Vesta for the first time with a friend and when I dropped to the surface there was no solid (rock) surface anywhere on the planet to build on. The map generator did appear to have areas that looked like they should have had a solid surface on it, but it was just the gas surface (ammonical-ocean-vesta-lime-coast).

Additionally, the current version appears to have some missing string tags (e.g., technology-name.transport-belt-capacity-vesta)

If you need any files to help debug, let me know.

I ran into the same problem and as far as I could tell, the "Vesta rock islands" option seems reversed with respect to its description. If it's off / unchecked, the rock platforms are generated. If it's on / checked, the rock platforms are NOT generated.

I'm looking into it right now and I'm getting the same issue, definitely wasn't that way when I initially tested this.

I got the issue fixed now but it's really horrid to believe that ever since 2.0 came out, the map generation was messed up. And my tests didn't at all reflect this which is even weirder because I was getting normal generation. I'm really sorry for this, but the issue is corrected in the latest update.

I had to travel a bit further out to chunks that had not yet been generated, but it does look like the latest patch has addressed the issue of missing platforms on the surface, so that aspect of the bug report can now be marked as fixed. Otherwise, just a few missing string entities still remain present.

Looking forward to getting things up and running tomorrow!

You can always use Editor Extensions to delete the original bugged surface and then regenerate it with the proper landmass by landing on it again.
