Planet Vesta

A gas giant in the distance. There appears to be a lone chunks of rock spread about in the almost concerningly thick atmosphere. Vesta is the gas world, and all about gasses. Please read the Changelog before updating to 2.0.

g How to get power started?

(updated 13 days ago)

There are missing recipes in the factoriopedia and there aren't any clear indication on how one gets power started on this planet.
I don't want to rely on other mods for power startup as I want to play with this planet's progression the intended way.

You are intended to play Vesta after Aquilo. The best way to get power is to import Fusion Reactors and Cold Fluoroketone, use Solar Panels to store some electricity and then start the reaction. You will not be able to make any progress without Cryoplants as well.

I can not place any solar panels, it says that the solar power is too low.

The issue seems to come from notsomelon's Factorissimo 3, it works when it's disabled.

Not sure why Factorissimo is checking for solar panels outside of its own surfaces.

Oh yeah this makes sense, I have it installed too.

In that case you might want to import some coal/carbon from your platform, some barrels of water, an assembler, a boiler and a steam engine because there's no other way to get power started. Vesta is designed to be powered by Fusion from Aquilo. Also Vesta has 10% (0.1) of Nauvis solar while Aquilo has 1% (0.01)

Yeah this is Factorioissimo's fault. The power has been started for now at least.
