Second Dawn (beta)

BETA, in testing. A total overhaul where Factorio meets Dr. Stone: humanity turned to stone, and you rebuild civilisation from clay and fire to a rocket to the Moon, before petrification waves come back. The first epochs feel a bit like a farm (clay, wood, gardens, jugs); from bronze and steam on it is a full factory. Base 2.0, no Space Age. Multiplayer supported. Made with AI (Claude, ChatGPT), directed and playtested by a human.

Second Dawn — BETA

Beta, in active testing. The whole scenario is playable from the first campfire to the Moon, but balance
is still moving and saves may need a fresh start between versions. Bug reports and impressions are very
welcome in the Discussion tab.

Factorio meets Dr. Stone. One day every human on the planet turned to stone. You crack out of it thousands
of years later, alone in an overgrown world, and rebuild science from nothing: clay, fire and rope first, then
bronze, glass, steam, electricity, chemistry, and finally a rocket. And the petrification comes back — in
waves, more and more often.

A fair warning: the first epochs feel a bit like a farm — clay, wood, gardens, fruit, jugs, a campfire.
That is the stone age. From bronze and steam on it turns into the factory you know.

What is different

  • Five epochs, six sciences. Clay tablets → glass flasks → mechanisms → reactive → sea charts →
instrument boards. The vanilla tech tree, starting items and biters are gone.
  • Petrification waves. The first one comes after 2 hours, then every next interval is shorter. A wave
    turns every player to stone
