🌐Planet Rubia

Discover the wind planet Rubia. Belts and inserters work differently on Rubia, leading to unique building challenges not seen on any other planet. Your whole factory must go with the wind as a never-ending barrage of waste is hurled at your base.

g [Resolved] Why be a negative mod developer

Why ban entities rather than letting players play the way they wish. Ever think of the fact "oh hey Rubia is part of enable all planet mods, the planet sucks and the player may just want to get through it, but no I'm a bonehead and even subtly hiding some changes outside of the changelog..." Finally once someone has a nice base you do an update banning said entity only for their base to be obsolete.

The enable all planets mod is just a scriptless modpack that conveniently enables a specific collection of planets. If you do not want to play one planets in the modpack, disable the modpack. We are not going to design Rubia around the expectation of not playing Rubia. If you don’t want to play it, no one is forcing you.

Rubia is designed around a singular premise: the wind prevents you from moving items westward. Without it, the entire mod is pointless. We implement safeguards almost exclusively to maintain the core of the mod.

Rubia’s patches do not search for and fix offending entities on the surface. As such, old bases are almost always grandfathered in. The moment you touch something in a way that you would be making edits, now you are beholden to the more stringent safeguards.

Rubia’s license explicitly allows forking the mod to do whatever you want. If Rubia’s core premise offends you, we have both decided to give away the rights to allow you to make and publicly distribute a totally different version of Rubia (even one without wind or devoid of humor). We gave away these rights as of the very first public release of Rubia. You have chosen not to exercise those rights.

As for not declaring changes in the changelog, recall that one time you said you would ā€œkeep reforking as necessaryā€ until our mod was designed to your standards. That pissed us off. You forced us to spend at least a day totally refactoring Rubia’s wind scripts to prevent softlocks that only existed as a result of your work, all to avoid playing a cat and mouse game of your creation. That was the moment you decided that you wanted to begin an adversarial relationship with us. We responded in kind.

A real 'legos MUST be built per the instructions' kind of response there. I expected nothing less. The battle will resume.

This is more like demanding lego change their instructions for a kit because you can’t be bothered to write your own instructions.

You can fork the mod, but you are too lazy to do so because this requires actual work to maintain. This is not our problem. It is yours.

Demanding? Sounds to me as if it's all on you as you've literally blacklisted everything. My mods are optional, and yes I'm too lazy to fork it, and also it doesn't help someone out who might not know how to manually adjust planets in or out outside of enabling a enable all planets mod. But your responses say everything so I'll continue to be the robin hood here.
