I have just reached the stage to produce the circle science pack and it request iron bacteria. There is another iron bacteria cycle recipe from Planet Muria which need few extra oxygen and produce more. I can make oxygen on Rubia so that I wish you can remove the surface limit of that recipe as well. Kind of compability stuff, I asked Muria's creator and he told me to ask you.

I spoke with the Muria dev. I can do some checks later to see if I can whitelist it. The part we were unsure of is how you can make oxygen locally on Rubia, which is a prerequisite for this recipe making sense on Rubia. It appears that this is only doable with a third mod.

Thank you! Muria provided a recipe to electrolyze water to make oxygen and it need some copper wire...which is a big part of Rubia's pipeline. And water, there is so many ways to make water such as using the Maraxsis's water recipe or simply airdrop some ice as my space platform arrive for picking up science packs.

Unless you have the Cargo Bay Inserters mod, Rubia landing pad only supports 8 inserters (because of Rubia wind restrictions, and limitted bot access). Importing ice to Rubia is possibke but unrecommended because it is takes away from your precious automated import bandwidth.

I don’t see how the Maraxsian water recipe gets you water if the whole point is that you don’t have O2 to work with. If there is actually a way to abuse this with a Muria recipe to make infinite free oxygen/water, then this sounds like an exploit to report to Andreus.

I can see if I can support the O2 recipe, but it’s probably not been requested before because it isn’t actually very helpful.

I have good news and bad news.

Good news: v0.69.137 now whitelists the Muria bacteria recipe, so it is no longer auto-banned from Rubia.

Bad news: That recipe was always restricted to Gleba by the Muria mod that made it, so you still can't use it on Muria.

I let the Muria dev know. Whether or not he chooses to unrestrict his recipe for the general case is his choice to make (or not).
