🌐Planet Rubia

Discover the wind planet Rubia. Belts and inserters work differently on Rubia, leading to unique building challenges not seen on any other planet. Your whole factory must go with the wind as a never-ending barrage of waste is hurled at your base.

g [Resolved] Temprature Setting causing craftable

(updated 3 months ago)

Based on the planet info its temperature is 18 K(elvin) ( real life : -255C or -427F )
while the recipe for "transatlantic metallocoasphyxiation" inside the "Biorecycling plant" acording to factoriopedia has a minimum temperature of 255 K

I LOVE this planet so far but my progression now stuck on this wierdness

hope you can help,

how far i got ( part of it )

just noticed this one as well
Trainstops / (Chain-) Signals are not placeable

it might be the big stack of mods i have
with a multitude of planets

hope it helps

Hey. Thanks for the report. I can confirm that Rubia by default does NOT block train stops, chain signals, nor Transatlantic Metallocoasyphyxiation. Space Age does not normally have a temperature surface property, so it seems that some other mod is defining it, and giving Rubia a default value that is unreasonably cold.

I'm going to try some things, but this will 100% come down to some other mod coming in and messing with Rubia.

From my short testing, Freezer-Forked is responsible for making my surface temperature 18 K >:(
Cerys is for some reason messing with that recipe's temperature restriction.

I can probably tackle the 18K issue, but I would need more help from you to figure out: what mod that you have is messing with the train stops and rail stops?

Thanx for the Quick response

yea i thought as much
normally i wouldn't report things ( just uninstall the mod ) .. .but your concept is so refreshing

i'm looking at what is setting the "gravity"

I added a new conditional surface property to make Rubia 324 K = 51 C. It is a bit hot from the greenhouse effect from garbage in the atmosphere, with high wind chill, and still very livable for bacteria. Cerys still messes with my recipe, but this new conditional surface condition makes it is still allowed on my planet.

I will wait to see what is going on with the train stops to push a change. Could you perhaps do this:
Mouse over a placed train stop and press CTRL + SHIFT + F to open up its prototype information.
https://imgur.com/a/jbkQ35M
Then expand its prototype history. This will show what mods changed the prototype, and in what order. The goal is to figure out what mod is messing with your trains.

o wait its windspeed that is causing it

Yes, but wind speed isn't normally assigned to train stops as a surface condition.

From my testing, it looks like Muluna is doing something, and then my mod somehow assigns it a wind speed if Muluna gets involved.

NICE love the RP

Looking through Muluna's code, it isn't immediately obvious to me what is happening with trains when Muluna is installed. I'm going to push a change that fixes the Cerys incompatibility for you, which should at least make it possible for you to keep playing your game.

In the meantime, I'm going to ping MeteorSwarm (the Muluna dev) to figure out what is going on with the rail situation. He may not wake up for a bit due to his time zone. I plan to push a change for that later today. For now, download the new 0.69.30 for the Cerys fix.

This is fixed as of 0.69.31
