quasar-chest
Linked chest mod for factorio, to remove logistics from the list of things you have to worry about while working on your factory. Definitely going to be considered a cheat mod by some, but I like what it does to the game. Feel free to use as is or modify to your liking. It is licenced MIT to make that easy for you.
Tested with nullius(with a quick compatibility mod that sets the order on the object and recipe so it shows up).
Playing with space exploration in my current save.
Features
- No scripting for chests themselves -- all builtin linked-container behaviors make this very efficient
- Stores up to one stack of each item in the game, so you don't build up too much in quasar space
- Fills your player logistics requests from quasar space
- Empties your player logistics trash slots to quasar space or destroys items if it can't
- Links across all surfaces, great for space exploration or factorissimo
- Partial filling and emptying of player logistics, so player gets a trickle of resources even under heavy demand
