I've just gotten started with Platformer and one thing that's a bit of a "huh" moment is how to get started. Specifically, for inserters. It seems to me like you need several buildings in the "minimum" chain to make them- four assemblers (gear wheel, copper cable, electronic circuit, and inserter). The player starts with only two assemblers. The actual number of inserters is a bit too low to actually use these assemblers even if you had them, especially since the one crusher needs five inserters to avoid jamming. You could use direct insertion rather than a hub-centric design which reduces the need for inserters, but then you need even more assemblers. I'm a bit unclear on if handcrafting is meant to be a legitimate way to progression, but if not, it might be nice if the player started with a little more- say, 30 inserters, 4 assemblers. This would give them enough starting machines to set up production for, well, more starting machines, rather than manually recipe juggling a couple of assemblers to do the job of four assemblers.
