Platformer - Alpha, need testers.

In a remote corner of the universe, you find yourself adrift on a solitary space platform. With only passing asteroids to sustain you, your progression hinges on your ability to gather resources from these wandering celestial bodies.

I knew somebody would make a spaceblock mod. Thank you, will give it a try. :)

edit: yes, spaceblock exists already, but it's from before Space Age and more like seablock.

Played for an hour or so yesterday. Won't have time for more for a while, I'm currently neck deep in FUN mode.

What I found:

  • Put something in the trash slot of the platform. It got sent down to the planet, resulting in a notification about a drop pod that's waiting to be picked up. That thing won't go away ever lol. The ability to (manually) dump stuff with cargo pods is good to keep, but can you delete all orphaned cargo pods? If there's no way to get down to the planet, there's no reason to keep them around. Could also delete them during descent.

  • Went down to Nauvis (with the map view obviously), can't see shit (no radar), but when I went back up I had the character GUI instead of the ghost selector GUI. It included the inventory, so I could use it to handcraft. Surely that's not intended.

  • The metallic asteroid crushing recipe exists twice (same name and icon), while only one is selectable in the crusher GUI. The actual recipe is slightly different, the unselectable one gives 10% of an Ice (chunk) in addition to iron/copper/stone.

  • Since this is new, I suppose you're going to clean up the tech tree? Doesn't make much sense to keep boilers around if they won't be able to be built anyway. Same for electric miners research, steel furnace, etc.

  • Platform tiles are super cheap, yet we start out with a lot of them. I'm not a fan of the early grind where nothing is happening in your factory empire spanning 20 tiles, so I prefer a large starting amount, but then they should be more expensive imho.

That's all from me for now. Looking forward to sink many hours into this. :)
