g [Fixed]HD Plasma Duct dependency?

Since you now have your own version of Plasma Ducts, would it make sense to make this mod dependent on HD Plasma Duct, instead of the original Plasma Duct? Specifically, given that mod's global function override issue. I've been looking at this mod for some time, but was unable to make much use of it due to that issue.

Hello there!

That's the plan but I'll do a couple more changes to HD Plasma Duct until it's up to my standard, largely some startup options and aesthetics.

I quite dislike when mods do a very harsh dependency transition as the error message is usually quite confusing, especially when you haven't been paying attention to dependencies, so tomorrow I'm adding a message telling people they can install the HD mod and in a week or so I'll switch the dependency.

I'm glad that this mod looks appealing to you and I apologise that this delays your experience.

Understandable. Although the game will auto-download dependencies on mod update, I believe. I haven't checked to see if you're using the same prorotype names, but if you are then no error messages should happen. You can always add the original Plasma Ducts as incompatible with your fork (which it really should be, they both do the same thing) to ensure that players only use one version on update.

Not to stick my nose in your business, of course. I'm just happy someone's working on this :)

You'll be happy to hear I am now happy with the state of HD Plasma ducts and have switched the dependency to it!
I'll soon add a message that discourages using Plasma ducts if it's still active, since it's now obsolete and still causes compat issues. I suspect I'll eventually mark it as incompatible.
