Hello I can't seem to find a way to make calcite for the trigger tech. Recipe book says the only way to acquire it is mining by hand and it doesn't progress said tech. What am I missing? It's a purple science trigger tech and calcite is said to be used in some recipes but no recipe makes it if I browse through recipe book with calcite in the search bar. I'm pretty lost and stuck because I need this trigger tech to progress everything else is researched.

Have you put a miner on a calcite deposit? It's one of the basic ore types, though it's not one found in the starter area.

I supose I have been pretty unlucky because even with some exploration with the 2 starter radars I haven't seen a single calcite deposit. At the very least I have some clue as to what to look for now, thank you very much.

If you used default settings it's possible you just got an unlucky seed. It's not extremely rare. It's comparable to vanilla uranium deposits in terms of frequency. If you use non-default settings, increasing the starter area size could make those things further out. Default ore settings work fine for Nullius. On the plus side, there are no biters keeping you from exploring a bit further.

Calcite deposits are light colored, which could be harder to spot on the map if you happen to have a lot of light colored terrain.
