Nullius

In this Factorio prequel, you're an android terraforming planets and seeding them with life. Replaces all recipes and technology. No life means no coal, oil, wood, biters, or free oxygen, requiring varied renewable energy sources. For reliability, you'll focus on abundant elements from the air, sea, or common minerals such as iron ore, bauxite, sandstone, and calcite. Advanced technology enables asteroid mining of rarer elements.

g Boxed Carbon Recipe

Is it on purpose that there are only methan based carbon recipes? Wouldn't it be a nice idea to switch the non pressurized methan based recipe to a pressurized carbon monoxide recipe for the boxed carbon?

Assuming you're starting from carbon dioxide, the methane to graphite route is considered more efficient than the carbon monoxide to graphite route. By the time you get boxed or pressurized versions of recipes, carbon monoxide to graphite would not be expected to be a normal part of your production line. You don't get boxed versions of every recipe, only things that are expected to be done at large scales in an up to date factory.
