Factorio World Multiplayer


I modified Factorio World mod so that it has some spawns to choose from (each player can choose spawn once when already in game) biters get significantly reduced depending on evolution, so that playing far from world spawn doesn't feel much harder than playing near world spawn. each spawn recieves some starting ores. This mod is based on Factorio World mod (by The Oddler), and is using some TeamCoop functions too. Shout out to those creators :)

Is there an easy way to add a custom location?
I tried to edit the spawn.lua but I guess there is a scale/offset in the code, making it go to -5178, 2112instead of 0,0

I removed this offset and I also added new command to easily find out your coordinates. It shows game-surface coordinates, scale and mod-map coordinates. It should be much easier to add something to spawns.lua now.

Unfortunately adding custom spawn to existing map won't spawn resources near it, if that location was already explored, but it should be possible to just set spawn to there. If chunk was not explored yet (or if you use commands to destroy it), then I think adding spawn to spawns.lua will work as if it was always there. I think chunk must be un-explored and completely not-existant to allow spawn-resource spawning.

I also added mod option to add custom spawns on new maps - but it will only work on for new map, so it's not strictly on-topic.

Also new version is kind of experimental, as I had little time to test it. Please report any crashes/bugs, if they happen.
