Start underground. The Nauvis surface is hostile and normal surface construction is forbidden; dig out cave space, use shafts, and build your factory below.
is there a way to go to space with this mod?
we built the rocket silo using many other mods as well, but i can't send the rocket to actually start the platform. Creating a platform works but it needs the starter kit sent up there which doesn't happen. also obviously i can't build on nauvis surface using this mod...

Build a Surface Habitat on Nauvis.
Power it with at least 5 MW.
Build the rocket silo inside the 48-tile protected dome.
Build cargo landing pad/cargo bays inside the dome as needed.
Launch the space platform starter pack from that Nauvis surface silo.
