Personally I don’t think this mod needs more types of ships. Regardless, t whoever it was that made the original ship graphics is long gone and none of the current maintainers have the skills for that.
If you can make graphics for a small tanker then I’d suggest making an addon mod which adds it separately. This mod offers an API which makes it easy for other mods to define ships and all the scripting will be handled correctly by this mod. I’d be happy to help with this, but I suspect the lack of graphics will be an insurmountable hurdle :)
