I'm intrigued by the idea of cargo ships but am unable to figure out placement. For one thing, what's the difference in "Port" and "Land-based Port"? The answer would seem obvious, but I'm unable to place a land-based port anywhere -- on land, near land, or anywhere. I can place a plain old Port on land, but I'm unable to rotate either port type; they always point north/south. Fine, if I want it on an east or west shore but no luck on a north or south shore location.

In addition, when I place the port, the alignment guides show the ship stopping point to be offset from the port, not directly beside it as I would expect.

Further, I cannot get anything to load or unload on either a cargo or tanker ship. I can get the ship pump placed on a ship but cannot connect it to a pump or pipeline on land. Cannot get any loading device at all for cargo -- inserters don't work, loaders don't work.

And finally, I'm unable to enter the ship using the Shift-Enter key. Tried standing almost on top of the ship -- or as close as I could get...still no go.

I know the mod works because I've seen the YouTube demo, and I know I'm simply not doing things right. Guidance please?

ports should adjust their orientation depending on the waterway they are placed at. they are just remodeled train stops after all.

if SHIFT-Enter does not work, check the control settings. some users reported the field to be invalid.
