Big Brother Continued
Big Brother Continued updates the classic radar mod for Factorio 2.1.
Research better radar range and faster scanning, then extend map coverage to vehicles, trains, and power infrastructure. The original balance and research progression are unchanged.
Radar amplification
Radar amplification has 9 research levels. Each level:
- Adds 2 chunks to nearby continuous visibility.
- Adds 3 chunks to distant scanning range.
- Increases radar power consumption by 75 kW.
Radar efficiency
Radar efficiency has another 9 research levels. Each level reduces the time needed to scan distant sectors.
Amplification and efficiency are separate research lines, so you can improve either one independently.
Extra map coverage
A powered Surveillance Center keeps your vehicles and trains visible on the map.
The second Surveillance research level also provides map coverage around big electric poles. Coverage is kept separate for each force and surface.
Continuing an existing factory
Factories using Big Brother 2.0 [WIP] can continue with this mod.
- Back up your factory.
- Disable
big-brother. - Enable
big-brother-continued. - Load the factory.
- Save it under a new name.
Existing research, upgraded radars, Surveillance Centers, vehicles, trains, and pole coverage are retained.
Do not enable both mods at the same time. They define the same items, entities, recipes, and technologies.
