Started a deathworld playthrough with this mod active and updated as of 2024-11-08. Biters immediately began sending waves of enemies, even though nothing had been built yet (no pollution). This behavior did not stop after the first few waves.

Started a deathworld playthrough with this mod active and updated as of 2024-11-08. Biters immediately began sending waves of enemies, even though nothing had been built yet (no pollution). This behavior did not stop after the first few waves.

The vision range for biters has been increased in the Mod. The game is more difficult than in vanilla.
If bases are generated in the starting area, most likely the character has been spotted.

Try raising the starting area setting to 200 or higher, as on the screenshot.
