Could you provide a little more information about the game state(game time or evolution factor)?

What settings are set before starting?

If the size of biter bases is set greater than 100%, it increases the chances for giant units to appear.

Alternatively you can try a mod that adds air purifiers. This will reduce pollution. The chances of giant units appearing in groups will also be lower.

yea some settings would be nice, atm its basically just 10x the stats, atleast for hp, earlygame you cant do sh.t with yellow ammo. there needs to be some difficulty curve.

evolution at present is only like 68%, i actually tend to reduce base size and #, and increase my start area. i have giant biters and spitters that are effectively boss battles, only to run into more with each alien base.

Added a difficulty multiplier from 1 to 50 to the mod settings. It affects the amount of HP when units are spawned.
