Desirable Dirt Paths


Heavily trafficked tiles will degrade into packed dirt, forming pathways and tracks. This mod is a fork of Dirt Paths and Desire Paths, bringing all of Desire Path's features into the updated Dirt Paths code as well as adding some new features and fixing some bugs. Compatible with Factorio 2.0, Space Age, Aircraft Realism, and Alien Biomes.

Running back and forth between parts of your factory and haven't gotten around to paving it yet? Now you'll see results with Dirt Path! Frequently used paths will now change to show their use. May also give you tips on where you need to put down bricks or concrete!

This mod is a fork of Dirt Path by Mylon and Desire Paths by adamwong246 that combines the improved features from the latter with the updated 2.0 code from the former, as well as adding new features and fixing bugs.

Feature List:
- Tiles will "decay" into muddier ground before turning into packed dirt as you travel over them.
- Customisable threshold for each tile change.
- Customisable amount of damage done to tiles by walking or driving.
- Vehicle weight and speed are used to calculate how much damage driving vehicles do.
- Tiles slowly recover if not walked on, they won't return to their original state but they'll lose progress towards their next change.
- Customisable waiting time between tile recovery attempts and the amount that gets recovered each time.
- Experimental support for aircraft through Aircraft Realism, grounded aircraft will leave desire paths but flying aircraft will not.
- Fast whitelist implimentation for aircraft, or a slower but more complete blacklist option.
- Compatible with Factorio 2.0, Space Age, Mining Scars, Alien Biomes, Aircraft Realism, and theoretically any ground vehicle mod.
