Turret Priority Filter
Have you ever thought that Spitters are much more dangerous than Biters?
Or have you ever thought it would be great if turrets with a longer range could target only Spitters, leaving the Biters to other turrets?
Or maybe you think the exact opposite of what I just said?
Then Turret Priority Filter is for you!!!
Description
Turret Priority Filter adds a single item to the game: the Target Selection Device.
With this device, you will be able to modify the behavior of turrets, forcing them to target a single type of enemy!
Usage
Once you research the necessary technology, you will gain access to the Target Selection Device.
If the Target Selection Device is placed near a turret (and connected to electricity), it will link to it.
By connecting the Target Selection Device to a constant combinator with one of the target signals in output,
the turret linked to the Target Selection Device will start targeting only one type of enemy.
Device Color Legend
- Red: insufficient power;
- Yellow: active, but no turret in range or available;
- Light Blue: connected to a turret, awaiting signals;
- Green: functioning.
Considerations
The mod seems to work perfectly with the base game, linking to all turrets and all enemies.
I tested it with other mods:
- Rampant, fixed: functional, but it would be advisable to add filters for all the different factions. (✔️Implemented)
- Missile Defense Systems: functional, it just needs the local name and local description added for each turret.
In conclusion, I believe it should work with all mods that add enemies and turrets, although they might require the same adjustments as those mentioned above.
