hi, this mod is amazing, but sadly it cannot be used in sandbox mode. Is it possible to use Lua commands to get the spidertron body? kinda wanna play around with the spidertron engineer in sandbox mode.
I don't think that that is possible in sandbox mode. However, Editor Extensions (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/EditorExtensions) might have what you're after. It sort of allows you to control a player in editor mode.
hmmm, after playing around a bit in sandbox mode, it seems that by getting a spidertron engineer from the sandbox inventory and entering the spidertron after using the player character lua command, I become the spidertron with no way of exiting the spidertron engineer.
Hopefully that will help anyone who wants to try out spidertron engineers in sandbox mode, that's the way to do it for now. Im using Creative Mode Mod to do it, Editor Extension might do the trick too, since it is inspired by Creative Mode.
Sounds like you're happy now then :) Yeah I found Editor Extensions to be much better than Creative Mode. The performance of all the creative infinite items is way better and the graphics are up-to-date as well.
To be honest, I'm not sure what you're wanting? Why would you want to play as a Spidertron in sandbox?
You can say I wanna fool around in a sandbox world with max enemy settings and wearing 10 exoskeletons while running around equipped with bio shotgun shells from Rampant XD
