Spaghetorio

Spaghetorio is a Factorio mod that trades efficiency for glorious complexity, introducing new items, fluids, buildings and science packs to create absurdly intricate production chains. Currently in early alpha with players just reaching orbit, the mod is open for feedback to help tune balance.

g Jellystem

Is there an issue with jellystem? I found fewer than 10 of them on my map (and I've explored quite a bit), compared to at least a hundred yamako. In addition, I am not making jellynut seeds at replacement level, so my farm is shrinking. One or both might just be bad luck, but seems unlikely.

I have it on my todo list to change the gleba terrain generation. This is an issue that many people have.

Have you looked at seed generation? With many more hours under my belt, my jellystem and yumako plantations both have run out of seeds several times.

I revamped terrain generation for fulgora regions for everything on nauvis mod. I will push the update in a few days once i fix some other things in spaghetorio :)

I assume you mean Gleba regions. Does terrain generation impact the number of seeds you get when processing yumako and jellynut? I've been checking in on my starter yumako and jellystem plantations. Sometimes they have trees on all available soil locations and excess seeds in the tower. Later (without me touching anything), the same tower will only have one or two trees. I wonder if the average is still 2% but the standard deviation is greater in the mod compared to vanilla. I've only done one Gleba playthrough in vanilla, but it seemed much less swingy.

Yes, I meant gleba :D I made it such that gleba terrain will be more prevalent the further south. Eventually it covers 100% on your screen. The patches of yumako and jellynut are now appearing slightly less often but are much bigger and the patches are not grouped together as much
