One thing you can make with barium is drilling fluid, but I can't figure out what it is for. Factoriopedia doesn't have any useful information. I was hoping it might be something you could use as a replacement for all of the various fluids necessary to mine ores. But I made some and tried it in place of perchloric acid to mine zirconium and it didn't work.

On which version of the mod are you? Drilling fluid is planned to be used for different ores, still have to implement that functionality?

I'm on 0.3.3. No problem if it's for something that hasn't been implemented yet. Just curious. Off to dive into the titanium rabbit hole!

I think I found another issue with the tech tree. I'm trying to mine titanium. As part of the chain of chemicals necessary to make the calcium hydroxide solution, you need propane. But propane is behind logistics science 2, which requires flying robot parts, which require titanium.

Should be fixed now. I plan to add a crystallizer building, so be carefull to leave enough space in your factory once you reached the crystallizer technology. Currently the induction hardening facility or chemical stager is used for crystallizing recipes.
