What kind of scenario are you playing? It's very weird that that kind of error would happen

the one with raiguard's editors extensions mod

Same problem with Blueprint Sandboxes, when game is saved inside the sandbox (which indeed has no player character).

Same "No character" on "Brave New World" scenario.

It looks like setting the character speed modifier when there's no character is what caused the crash. I adjusted it in the new version so it worked when I tried it with Brave New World
