--old 2025 description start--

This is basically a private tweaks mod, but maybe someone else finds it useful too or has ideas for further tweaks.

It's likely that I only temporarly support this mod. Maybe some tweaks will get adapted by the bigger ones, maybe not.

Feel free to use it, or not. I'm happy about feedback though I won't guarantee anything.

All the related mods are listed as optional dependency. In theory this mod should also partially work with not all of those mods installed.

  1. Paracelsin solar matrix and super-accumulator are moved to Moshine and the ones from there were removed

  2. Moshine now really only needs Vulcanus and no other seemingly unrelated dependencies

  3. remove Cerys special modules, those are better handled by Secretas

  4. make Research Control Tower available earlier so you actually get to use it before the game is over. Might need some more tweaks to get it to a good tech tree position.

  5. reduced Rubia pickaxe buff from tech to bring it in line with vanilla and infinite tech added by one of the other mods, forgot which one

  6. removed Rubia tier 4 eff module, because (see point 2) that's already handled by Secretas

  7. brought special inserters from Cerys and Rubia in line with vanilla and made them craftable via a Paracelsin machine (same as the vanilla ones)

  8. fixed lots of Secretas stuff (check changelog for 0.3.0)

  9. lots of more stuff, check changelog for 0.4.0 (it's getting annoying to update this text box here all the time)

--old 2025 description end--

--new 2026 description written by Claude based on the real code in the files--
--it's just too many tiny changes to manually write that list, but only this list was made by Claude, the changes themselves are my own idea--

Tech tree fixes

  • Adds missing prerequisites across Secretas, Panglia, Moshine, Cerys, Muluna and Mooncrete. Secretas' tree gets the most fixes, with its Golden science pack and T4 modules now properly gated.
  • Makes science costs more varied. Several Secretas techs no longer need every pack, and some Muluna techs drop unnecessary pack requirements.
  • Fixes broken or mismatched tech icons in Secretas.
  • Removes redundant or problematic techs: Secretas' science pack productivity, gold railgun turret, and the extra worker robot storage techs (when Panglia is present), and Cerys' braking force.

Balance tweaks

  • Secretas: T4 modules are cheaper, lighter and more consistent. Hyper inserters get stats and costs in line with other inserters. The two gold plate recipes are merged into one.
  • Rubia: The craptonite axe mining bonus is halved from 200% to 100%.
  • Moshine/Snouz: The big solar panel and big accumulator are resized (7×7 and 5×5) and rebalanced to roughly double the power density of the standard ones. The better substation is nerfed slightly, and the vanilla big pole gets a small range buff.
  • Panglia: The thinking brain's productivity bonus is lowered from 70% to 50%.

Recipes and machine fit (mainly Paracelsin)

  • Reorganizes which machines craft what. Electrochemical plants, mechanical plants, cryogenic plants and foundries each get a clearer role, with fewer vanilla items craftable in the mechanical plant.
  • Nitric acid recipes are easier to tell apart, with new icons and names. Paracelsin's blue circuit recipe is replaced by Cerys' version.
  • Adds logical surface restrictions: nitrogen recipes need a nitrogen atmosphere, the cryo plant can't be built on Rubia, flare stacks can't be built on Maraxsis, and Maraxsis' vent recipes only work on Maraxsis.
  • Panglia's delicate items (robots, lamps, switches and so on) move to the synaptic assembler.
  • Several Planet Crucible and Muluna recipes are moved to fit the machines they belong in.

Cleanup

  • Fixes duplicate Factoriopedia entries, for example for golden eggs and galvanized steel plate.
  • Moves misplaced recipes out of the fluids tab and puts the Moshine/Panglia datacells into the science tab.

Setting

  • Disable T4 modules (startup, default on): removes the extra T4 module variants from Cerys and Rubia even without Secretas. With Secretas installed they are always removed, since its T4s are preferred.
