i Tip: Enemy Evolution

Hi,

first of all thx for the mod, i got a good time with it so far.

what confuses me alot is how the evolution and enemy types, expecially bosses work in detail.
so far im aware that the warp-count (40, 80, so.) is a factor, aswell as platform research is a factor to evolution and the amount of planets that are unlocked leading to different enemy types.

while the new tipps section clearify at least how platform-research factors in, the other parts are very unclear (e.g. which planet unlocks what enemies?) and it would be great if those factors would be added to the tip

its kind of frustrating to run from demolishers straight to medium stompers while not having laser turrets yet and guessing how that happened :D

best regards and thanks for your work

I will add entry about that to the tips and tricks

nice, thank you :)

The tip is not entirely clear to me. Does every research add up to the evolution factor? Or just the maximum research sets the fixed value of evolution? In another words, is the maximum evolution 100% or can it be higher?

both. Evolution does stop at 100%, but once you reach that biters will start gaining quality

i think what destilcz was curious about is e.g. if you research factory upgrade 4 (30%) and after that ground platform 5 (20%) does it add up to 50% or is it just the max (30%). as far as i can see its the highest research which define the %

correct me when im wrong

Yes you are correct it will always be the highest value. It does not add up

Thanks! Maybe it would be good to clear that up in the help text. I wasn't sure if I was "safe" to research technologies under my current highest value.
