Valves

Adds three seperate animated valves for pipes: overflow, top-up and one-way/check valves. Inspired by Flow Control and Advanced Fluid Handling. The thresholds can be configured using shortcuts. Uses valve functionality provided by Factorio.

b [Not a bug] Toggling between different valve types not working (Control + R)

I found a control to toggle between different valve types and thought it to be very neat - unfortunately nothing happens when I press Control + R when hovering an overflow valve

This is a suggestion, not a bug. Only Configurable Valves currently support toggling the valve type using Ctrl-R.

Ah thanks! Seems like I got your 2 mods mixed up.

Not gonna lie I picked Configurable Valves just because I don't want 3 items when 1 work fine

Actually never mind since blueprint doesn't keep any of these configuration not even signal circuit

What do you mean? Does one of the valves mods not maintain settings with blueprints?

I didn't do exhausting testing but a simple copy paste didn't keep the "activate" circuit config off, and I set up one way config, copy paste do a control r and it was not cycling mode correctly as the valve was not set in "one way" mode. Thus maybe I did thing wrong, but since there is no visual indication of what mode a valve was except when switching mode it harder to know. Anyway, The only one I wanted was one way valve (you may consider having option to activate deactivate valve variant)

My use case is

  P<V<P
  | |
P-P P-P
  | |
  P>V>P

This setup with one way valve allow to balance fuild between two network before I used two pump and two tank and signal but I wanted to try up valve. I don't see much of why I would need overflow or top-up mode honestly

Oh it's needed plenty, especially in modded runs. Sometimes hard to see use cases until you run into it yourself.

and it was not cycling mode correctly as the valve was not set in "one way" mode

That sounds like a bug. I'll have a look.

Works fine for me:
