For folks that have enemies set to peaceful, there is little reason to play on Terra Palus. Almost all of the "benefits" are warfare related.

There are two areas that could be added that seem to me to make sense or match the theme.

First, Laser turrets are useful on space platforms even if enemies are peaceful. Terra Palus plays with themes of light and darkness, so perhaps a "Dark Energy" laser (with a new attack/vulnerability type to make it more impactful on Asteroids?) or a Laser mk2 with improved range, damage, and reduced power draw? There are a couple of mods on the portal already doing similar to mk2, but the balance on those are WAY far from being reasonable/balanced.

Second, most planets give some kind of new building to strive for that gives additional productivity to some thematic element. Again working from the light/darkness front, how about a Light focused assembly machine? Gives 50% prod, maybe some quality, 3-5 modules, and can build anything from base & mods with "Lamp", "Laser", "Solar", or the Lunar Panel: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/kc-lunarpanel

BTW, do the Lunar Panels work well on Terra Palus?! They should!

Haven't explored Terra Palus yet in my current playthrough, but those would definitely entice me.

Thanks thekabal! I will investigate a tech tree dedicated to peaceful players and look to implement your suggestions. :)

Re: Lunar Panels, I think they will just work - from a code perspective, the time is frozen on Terra Palus - as soon as you set the time to daytime, normal solar panels work, so I assume Lunar Panels will work too. If not, please let me know when you make it to Terra Palus and I will investigate a fix :)
