Late game scaling with lava resources is impossible due to the pumpjack speeds. On Vulcanus, pumping lava is done with arrays of offshore pumps (1200/s each at normal quality). The lava patch closest to my base has nodes with ~500M lava, which pump at 66/s. The patch has 15 nodes, meaning I would get a maximum total of 990/s from an entire patch. This doesn't even match the pumping speed of a single offshore pump.
I read another thread of someone discussing the abysmally slow pumping speed of oil. I understand what you said regarding that, as the planet specific recipes can be used to replace them, but early game is still slowed down significantly due to these changes to finite resources/nodes rather than tiles of the respective fluids. I second the opinion that these changes should be stated on the information page explicitly.
I quite like what you did with the mod otherwise, but this realization almost makes me want to abandon my current play through with it. Getting late game production is simply not possible with the limitation on pumpjack speeds.
I thought it was going to be an interesting challenge to pipe the fluids from tiles of lava spread out over the entirety of the map. Now it looks like half of the space age specific recipes regarding resource production are null/void.
